One Pot Beef & Bacon Chili

We like to elevate our beef chili by adding some freshly cooked bacon to this recipe, as well as enhancing the flavor of the vegetables by sauteing them in bacon drippings.
We formulated this recipe using our own Raspberry Chipotle Bacon and Verlinde Farm's American Wagyu Ground Beef, but you can substitute some of our other favorite burger boxes for a delicious weeknight meal, or something that's great for those cold winter days. Ingredients

4 strips bacon, chopped

1 lb ground beef

1 large onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced (two teaspoons minced garlic)

1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans

1 can (15 ounces) black beans

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 ½ teaspoon ground cumin

1 ½ teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
-
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cups tomatoes, chopped or 1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes
Directions
Place bacon in large sauce pan over medium-high heat and cook until edges are crispy.
Add chopped onion and garlic and sauté until lightly browned.
Add ground beef, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and paprika to the pan, stirring until beef is cooked.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black beans, and pinto beans to the pot and stir until well mixed. Reduce heat to medium-low and cover.
Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt and serve with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
