Ingredients
- 1 Large Red Onion
- ½ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- ¼ Cup Sugar
- ½ Tbsp Salt
- ¼ Cup fresh Lemon Juice
- Pinch of Crushed Red Pepper
Directions
- Slice Red Onion and put into a bowl
- Blanch onion slices by pouring boiling water over them until covered and let them sit for 15 seconds.
- Drain the water from the bowl.
- In a medium saucepan, boil the vinegar, salt, red pepper, and lemon juice for three minutes, or until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour over onion slices.
- Let onions sit until they reach room temperature.
- Cover and refrigerate the onions for up to two weeks.
- Serve over your favorite Fertile Acreage Brats
